Voice assistant takes over technical product pitches to farmers across Anatolia
Farmers in every city are called the same day and hear, in plain language, what the product adds to their yield: the agricultural company handed the technical pitch its staff struggled with to AvaritCall's voice assistant, and interested growers are passed to the field team.
Starting point
Explaining a technical product to a farmer in Anatolia is not easy. On paper the product's specifications are clear, but the only thing that matters to the grower on the other end of the line is what it will change in their field. How it contributes to yield has to be put in the farmer's own language, plainly and clearly. Doing that once is one thing; repeating it from scratch for every grower in every city, with the same patience and the same clarity, is another.
This is exactly where the company's staff struggled: simplifying the technical content every time, keeping the same patience in every call and sustaining it city after city wore the team down. Keeping the quality of the explanation the same from one call to the next was hard. The company, which operates in agriculture, handed its product-explanation calls to AvaritCall's voice assistant.
What the assistant does
The assistant calls the farmers on the list one by one. Instead of drowning the product in technical terms, it explains it through the question farmers care about most: what does this product add to my yield? The flow is the same in every call:
- Calls the farmer and introduces the product
- Explains the product's contribution to yield in plain language
- Separates interested growers and passes them to the field team
- Calls everyone on the list the same day, regardless of city
At the end of the conversation, growers who show interest are set apart and handed to the field team. Call transcripts are logged in the panel and can be followed via push notifications in the iOS app; calendar and CRM integrations are connected per setup.
Outcome
The same explanation and the same patience in every conversation. There is no difference between the first call of the day and the last; the quality of the pitch no longer depends on how busy or tired the staff are that day. The staff are freed from the repetitive explaining they used to struggle with.
City makes no difference. Farmers spread across different provinces are all called the same day; the outreach round is not spread over several days. And only growers who showed interest land in front of the field team, so the team spends its time on visits and sales rather than on explaining.
What people still do
The assistant takes on the explanation and the first screening; the sale itself stays in the field, with the team. Once an interested grower is passed to the field team, the human side of the work begins. With the explaining load gone, the team has more time for it:
- Field visits and application advice based on actual field conditions
- Closing the sale in the field, one-on-one with the grower
- Resolving technical issues that come up in product use
As in every case, pricing negotiations and complaint handling stay with the team.
